NBS for mitigation/adaptation to CC that can potentially be highlighted as a best-practice at the European or CELAC scale

The pond network is in suburban area of Aarhus and is in the watershed of a large newly created shallow lake Egå Engsø. 7 of the ponds were created in 2015-2017 to reduced flood risk from heavy rainfall some of which were designed with increasing biodiversity. At least 8 other ponds in the pondscape are older and we also have the potential to extend the demosite into neighbouring arable areas. The network has been surveyed and contains sites with great crested newt (Triturus cristatus).
