NBS for mitigation/adaptation to CC that can potentially be highlighted as a best-practice at the European or CELAC scale

This DEMO site has 3 pondscapes islands that were isolated from Fyn circa 3000 years ago. They are all NBS for biodiversity conservation, in particular amphibians, but also for submerged plants and can be used to determine how management, creation methods affect their value as NBS. The ponds have 3 typologies: 1) newly dug ponds; 2) re-digging of former ponds and 3) ponds restoration– vegetation and/or sediment removal. This comparison of the long-term effects (40 years) of different management approaches can help highlight different best practice for conservation of biodiversity and delivery of ecosystem services.
