NBS for mitigation/adaptation to CC that can potentially be highlighted as a best-practice at the European or CELAC scale

Gölbaşı Düzlüğü Pondscape appears to be a buffer zone against hydro‐meteorological hazards such as flooding especially in urbanized areas. To understand this potential better, a preliminary study was carried out by the METU team. The results reveal that, Gölbaşı Düzlüğü pondscape can help store the excess water coming from the upstream Lake Mogan, as well as feeding downstream Lake Eymir especially during the dry period. Gölbaşı Düzlüğü pondscape can set an example for good practice of green infrastructures for flood management.
